LA ESCUELA

Saint Gabriel was founded in January 1990. It is undoubtedly the dream come true of a young entrepreneur who over the years, the personal effort and that of a whole team have managed to take the school to be a great project of local character and international.

As the wings of the shield of Saint Gabriel indicate, it is an expanding company whose main objective is the teaching of languages. Currently there are two large departments that the school has; English and Spanish.

We were born as an English academy and It’s how we get our experience. It was in 2008 when, through the Erasmus + programs (former Leonardo Da Vinci mobility projects), we opened ourselves to the world of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Since then we have participated in projects as a host and shipping company. Currently we continue to participate in European projects together with educational centers in the UK, Finland, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

TESTIMONIES

My name is Bailey, from Ohio, USA. I am currently in Sevilla to improve my Spanish level. Saint Gabriel’s teaching methods provides a great learning environment with the help of a dynamic staff. Next September I will begin my degree in Sevilla. The pathway of Saint Gabriel and the University makes things easier for me. I want to study here because it is much more affordable than in my country and the University has international recognition.

  • For groups, all pupils’ passports should be checked in considerable advance to verify their validity and whether or not each travel document is valid for travel and return.
  • For supervised school groups of children aged under 16, enquire at your Passport Office for the terms and schedule for obtaining a Group Passport for your specific visit.
  • If visas are required please check if there is a processing time, the cost and terms via the Spanish Embassy

03  What are the student/staff ratios for supervision and classes?

Classes for individuals will have a maximum of 10 pupils.
For Group Supervision SG recommends you travel with sufficient Accompanying Tutors to meet your learners’ age, gender and learning needs. An estimate is one tutor to 10 students aged 16 or over.

04 Can I do a reconnaissance or inspection visit and what does it involve?

  • Any individual is welcome to drop in.
  • Group Leader representatives can make an appointment for a two-day visit to SG Centres, city facilities and introductions to associate schools or colleges and their students

For a reconnaissance visit you book your own flights and accommodation. You can request our accommodation support for suitable locations.

Normally with a three-month advance booking hotels can provide your group accommodation in one facility, separate rooms for males and females. For large groups or in busy periods we may offer two accommodation locations close to each other with the same quality of service. We sometimes recommend you request SG to reserve breakfast and evening meals at a nice Spanish café close to your accommodation to save on cost, for the cultural experience and to allow for group monitoring. For school groups it is important the Group Leader tells us of any specific dietary needs, such as vegetarian, religious requirements or other needs, so we can make appropriate food bookings.

Bus, metro, coach and rail services are excellent in Sevilla, and are not expensive. Buses run to and from SG centres, attractions and all services are frequent. Sevilla has a Metro and and city-centre tram line. Bus passes can be used on the tram. Taxis are cheap and always provide receipts on request. In late evenings the bus frequency is reduced. Intercity public coaches are very punctual, reliable and are available from two central bus stations in Sevilla. Rail services also offer comfortable journeys to popular destinations. SG has a School mini-bus for airport transfers and pre-booked excursions plus an approved coach operator service. Subject to your insurance, we can arrange small group bicycle tours of lesser-known Sevillan sights and with a Spanish/English speaking guide. At Sevilla’s central canal and river, where clipper ships set sail to explore the Americas, you can take scenic boat trips

08  Do I receive tutor guidance and help?

Yes. Clients receive administrative support and visa guidance. Learners receive support from teachers to match their level and assistance with adjustments or linguistic difficulties.
